Rosenfeld Gorgeous pic of mantis shrimp which clearly shows the stomatopod's muscular raptorial appendages and its distinctive stalked compound eyes. Their arched, seemingly-elongated abdomens, and shortened carapaces allow these critters to maneuver easily within their cramped dwellings. This picture was taken on July 1997, in the Kungkungan Bay Resort in Indonesia. |
