Odontodactylus scyllarus by Nico & Deirdre Mostert

According to the authors, this was taken in the Solomons, in 1998, using 105mm macro, dual strobes, manual settings, 1/100 sec @ f22. The critter was about 12cm in size, and it was poking its head out of the burrow. The authors also note that "the colours are stunning, but underwater they look mostly black. I found them camera shy. The rest of the segmented body is just as colourful."
