Atta laevigata: Following Big Sister

This photograph was taken in Reserva Mbaracayś, Canindeyś, Paraguay by Alex Wild. Atta laevigata is one of the largest leafcutter ants, and is also found in Colombia and Guayanas. Atta laevigata soldiers can grow up to 17 mm in length!
